Simbu aka STR is busy shooting for his upcoming films Podaa Podi, Vaalu and Vettai Mannan. The handsome actor is currently shooting in Kualalampur for Vignesh Sivaa directing Podaa Podi. Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar is debuting into films through Podaa Podi being produced by Padam Kumar under Gemini Films Circuit banner. Makers of Podaa Podi are gearing up to release the movie in this August, which was being canned from past 2 years. Podaa Podi unit is shooting the last leg in Kualalampur, which will wrap the talkie part. The story line of Podaa Podi revolves around the problems faced by a couple in bringing up their new born baby. Silambarasan and Varalakshmi are playing the role of couple, while Smarth, nephew of Simbu is playing their child. Sony Music has grabbed the audio rights for a best price and planning to launch the 6 tracks album soon.
