Handsome single STR is gearing up to release his long waited films namely Poda Podi, which took him a long time of 2 years for shoot, due to Smarth, his nephew who played his child in the film. Latest update on Poda Podi is makers have recently released a new poster of Poda Podi with new title Logo.

Varalakshmi Sarathkumar is pairing opposite Simbu in Podaa Podi that is done with its shooting schedules and the debutant director Vignesh Shivan is busy with the post-production works. It is being reported that Sony Music is keen to release a single track ‘Love Panlama Venama’ from Podaa Podi on September 6th.

Sony Music has bagged the audio rights of Dharan composed Podaa Podi music album for a best price and planning to launch audio with the 6 tracks soon. Simbu has himself given vocals for 2 songs, while Yuvan Shankar Raja, Benny Dayal alongside Andrea Jeremiah and Vjaya T Rajendar has sung one track each in the composition of Dharan.

Vaalu - Simbu & Santhanam Comedy All Set To Rock Again

Simbu aka STR is juggling between several projects in Tamil cinema and one among them is Vaalu, a commercial entertainer that aims at a Diwali release. Simbu, who is known for tapping in the best out of newbie directors, is working with a debutant in this film as well.

Helmed by debutant Vijay Chander, Vaalu sees Simbu and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles. Comic relief is by Simbu and Santhanam. Remember the duo brought the roofs down with their one liners in Vaanam? Vaalu is touted to beat that record when it comes to comedy.

Few of the scenes were shot at a Hyderabad railway station, T Nagar and Royapettah in Chennai and several other places in TN. There's also a scene canned at the Kamala Theatre in Chennai that showcases as if Simbu and Hansika are watching Ajith's Billa 2, Simbu's love for his idol, Thala, need not be explained upon.

When the first look teaser trailer of Vaalu was released it made several headlines as it took a direct dig at Dhanush, Simbu's then arch media rival, with Hansika quoting a dialogue from Dhanush's film. However all that was put to rest as both the actors buried the hatchet.

Vaalu also sees Jai and Telugu comedian Brahmanandam in special appearances.Boasting off commercial elements, Vaalu, a commercial laugh riot loaded with romance, is all set to grace screens come Diwali.

Simbu's film to break rules

Simbu has a pocket full of films. With Vaalu getting ready for a Diwali release, he also has Vettai Mannan and Podaa Podi in the making. He is also doing the ground works for the sequel of his 2004 super hit Manmadhan.

Meanwhile, the actor watched the rushes of his upcoming film Vaalu. Very impressed with the way the film has come out, the actor praised his director Vijay Chandar for a job well done.

The team is also looking to release the film’s single track in September. However, the films composer Thaman hinted that he might release two tracks, just to break some rules.

சிம்புவின் மன்மதன்-2 படத்தில் நடிக்க சுனைனாவிடம் திகதிகள் கேட்கப்பட்டதாக தகவல் வெளியாகியுள்ளது.நடிகை சுனைனா, தற்போது சீனு ராமசாமியின் படமான நீர்பறவையில் நடித்து முடித்திருக்கிறார்.இருப்பினும் அவரிடம் இன்னும் நான்கு படங்கள் கையில் இருக்கிறது. ஏற்கனவே நிதிப்பிரச்சினையால் சிக்கிய திருத்தணி படம் மீண்டும் புத்துயிர் பெறுகின்றது.இதற்கிடையில் கதிர்வேல், விஷாலுடன் சமர் படங்கள் உருவாகி வருகின்றன.ராசுமதுரவன் இயக்கத்தில் உருவான பாண்டி ஒலிப்பெருக்கி நிலையம் படம் சிறுபிரச்சினை காரணமாக ஒத்தி வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.இந்நிலையில்தான் சுனைனாவுக்கு சிம்பு படத்தில் நடிக்க வாய்ப்பு வந்துள்ளது.அடுத்த வருடம் சிம்புவே இயக்கி நடிக்கும் மன்மதன்-2 படத்தில் நான்கு நாயகிகளில் ஒருவாராக சுனைனாவுக்கு அழைப்பு வந்திருக்கிறது. ஆனால் சுனைனாவின் சம்மதம் தொடர்பான தகவல் எதுவும் வெளிவரவில்லை.

STR Back To Chennai

The final schedule of poda podi is successfully completed. He worked very hard on his dance moves, even he was suffered from heavy fever and cold. He managed the pain and completed his song shoot.
Now the hero STR is leaving from mumbai and he is back to his home town chennai. The date of poda podi audio launch will be updated shortly.

We all know that STR is a dedicated person when it comes to films. The actor, who is currently shooting for the climax song of the film, promises that it will be very innovative and different. Simbu, who working hard on his dance moves, suddenly came down with high fever and a heavy cold on the last day of shoot. But the actor completed the shoot without creating a fuss.

Before going to sleep, he thanked his fans on twitter for their encouragement and support which kept him going - "Inspite of fever and cold what kept me going all this while is my twitter fans today :) thank u all!!! Without u ppl im nothing!!!"

Str fans already known that the final stage of poda podi shoot is going on in mumbai. Simbu performs very hard dance moves in this climax song and the shooting is taking in
"Andheri East MIDC Prasad Studio" at mumbai.

On the same location, Dhanush's "Mariyaan" Movie shots were taken yesterday. STR and Dhanush were met each other in that location and they took snaps together with Aniruth, Deepan Boobathy, Jai and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.

There are 3 more days shooting are left for poda podi and the whole shooting will be complete on 21st August 2012 (Tuesday). The songs of poda podi is ready and the date of audio launch will be announce shortly.

STR sings ‘Vantharai Vazhavaikkum Ooru’ for Vijay Vasanth

Simbu aka STR, the multi-faceted star is proving himself to be one of the best singers rendering more songs day by day. STR has recently crooned a track for UTV producing Settai, Srikanth’s Ethiri En 3 and latest we hear is the star actor has given vocals for ‘Vantharai Vazhavaikkum Ooru’ song in Mathil Mel Poonai.

Mathil Mel Poonai is the upcoming terrifying action thriller that casts Vijay Vasanth and Vibha in the lead roles. Makers of Mathil Mel Poonai have released the ‘Vantharai Vazhavaikkum Ooru’ song promo in Youtube, which is grabbing the attention of viewers and many are naming it as the Chennai Anthem, as it describes about the city and its people.

Director Bharani Jayapal is wielding the megaphone for Mathil Mel Poonai in the production of Kannan under his Princes Creations PVT LTD banner. Ganesh Ragavendra is composing the music and back ground for Mathil Mel Poonai that has cinematography by L.K. Vijay and editing being handled by Praveen KL and Srikanth NB among the technical crew.

After the critical and comemrical hit that was Engaeyum Eppothum, Jai has been working with Simbu on Vettai Mannan. The two had also become good friends during the shoot.However, STR had postponed the filming of that action entertainer to do Vaalu, a comedy with Santhanam for the same production house (Nic Arts). As if to make amends, now, Simbu has asked Jai to do a cameo in the film and the young actor readily agreed.

STR shoots 'Podaa Podi' climax in Mumbai

Silambarasan is busy shooting for the climax of Poda Podi in Mumbai. Says director Vignesh Siva: “Usually the climax of a film will be an emotional scene or a high voltage action scene, but in Poda Podi the climax is a dance performance which we are shooting for the last two weeks”
Poda Podi is a romantic musical and this unique climax, which is a dance competition, has STR, Varalakshmi and Shobana in the song, which is said to be a kuthu number,tuned by Dharan. The choreographer is Prem Rakshit who has come out with some difficult steps, says the director.
