Interview of Kural : TOI

''I don't feel like doing films at all'' - Simbu

Simbu is one actor who is always known to speak his mind. He has been involved in some controversies too, due to his bold and daring image. Even recently, the handsome young star made a big splash in the media for the way he announced his break-up with actress Hansika.

A few days back, on a prominent chat show in a private television channel, Simbu was again at it and had some really interesting and forthright comments to make about his life and career.

"Of late I am not liking the process of doing films. I wish to do something beyond cinema. When I was young, I wanted to grow into a huge star like Rajini Sir and intended to do a lot of films. But now that I have crossed 30, life seems different and my goals have changed. I don't wish to become a superstar anymore. I am not interested in competition and jealousy. The success or failure of my films won't impact me anymore.

Cinema is just a boundary and I don't wish to be restricted by that. Doing something for the world at large is what interests me now.

I am not liking money too nowadays. Due to money, people are losing their humanity and their inherent goodness. Jealousy has also increased due to money and the society is deteriorating. There shouldn't be any money in this world."

The Magical VTV - 7G Quartet

It can’t get better than this!! It was reported earlier that Selvaraghavan will be teaming up with Simbu for his next film. It has come to our notice that Trisha will be joining Selva’s team to romance Simbu in this film.

This will be Simbu and Trisha’s third film after Alai and Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya and the cracking chemistry of the duo remains the topic of discussion even now. This project will be funded by Radiance Media who have also associated themselves with Balaji Mohan’s Vaai Moodi Pesavum.

Selvaraghavan’s combination with Simbu will definitely be new and different as the genres of movie they work are different. This has definitely kickstarted the expectation levels and what Selva is going to bring about in Simbu in terms of looks and performance will be an interesting feature to look forward to. On the other hand Trisha has worked with Selva in his Telugu film Aadavaari Maatalaku Ardhaalae Verule, which was the original of Yaaradi Nee Mohini.

Sources also reveal that veteran cinematographer and National Award winning cinematographer Madhu Ambat may be roped in as the DoP. Kola Bhasker and Yuvan would be editing and composing music respectively.

The reunion of Yuvan and Selvaraghavan is another factor which makes this project extra special as the work done by this duo in the past is brilliant to say the least. Who can forget the tunes of Kadhal Konden, 7G Rainbow Colony and Pudhupettai?

Simbu and Hansika still Cordial

Actor Simbu announced to the press last week that he has ended his love relationship with her Vaalu and Vettaimannan co-star Hansika. Now the news is that Simbu was with Hansika in the shooting of Vaalu while he made the announcement in his Twitter page and sent the news to the press through his PRO.

Sources say that Simbu and Hansika were cordial towards each other on the sets without showing off any feeling of bitterness. A song 'You are my darling' which will be retained in the film. Interestingly the song is pictured on Simbu singing to Hansika that he does not want Nayanthara or Andrea and only wants her.

Vaalu's director Vijay Chander says that the song is a part of the film and it should not be confused with reality. In other words it is not the song sung by Simbu to Hansika. It is the song sung by Sharp to Priya Mahalakshmi the respective characters of Simbu and Hansika in the film.

Best Rivals yet Best friends

Dhanush and Simbu started off their careers as lead heroes around the same time in the early 2000s and their films and fan bases are often compared. Earlier they were even reported to have not been in good terms with each other.

But over the past few years, the two stars have gradually grown fond of each other. They have been sharing a lot of love on Twitter and it was clear that the two were slowly becoming thick friends. They have shared the same stage, traveled together, indulged in gaming sessions and partied together on special occasions. Simbu even did a cameo role in Dhanush - Vetrimaaran's production venture Kaaka Muttai.

Most recently, yesterday night, both Simbu and Dhanush posted a picture of the two together with lovely captions. While Dhanush tweeted "Always there for each other", Simbu went a step ahead and said "If #bestrivals can b #bestfriends that's us :)"
