No, STR starrer Vaalu doesn’t have anything to do with Jayam Ravi starrer Thillalangadi. We hear that the Vaalu team has tried out a different technique during the shoot. STR’s house that will be seen in the film is actually three different houses. Since, STR’s father in the film works as a railway employee, the backside of the house was shot in a house in Pachyappas College campus, near the railway station. The living room sequences were shot in Aachi house, T Nagar and the rest were shot in a house in Royapettah.All the shots were then matched to project the sequences as if they were shot in a single house. The makers are very happy with the outcome. We also hear that Hansika, the film’s female lead was hit by surprise, when she couldn’t distinguish between the shots taken in the three different houses.
