STR speaking to DC, said, “I don’t have any issues with anyone. I feel it’s just blown out of proportion by certain people. I don’t wish to be dragged into controversy as I have a lot happening on the work front. I will leave it to my fans and the Tamil people to decide about me and my character.”SOURCE : DECCAN CHRONICLE
Working with STR in Vettai Mannan - HANSIKA MOTWANI I shot for about 10 days with STR for Vettai Mannan. He was very sweet, decent and professional. I am a very professional artiste and though the film has another heroine, my part is very clear and we do not have any combo scenes.SOURCE : BEHINDWOODS

Simbu is very friendly. He expects perfection in everything like Make-up, Stunt sequences (Action) etc. Earlier, he too had directed few movies, probably that's the reason behind his expectation for the PERFECTION.While acting, he kind of gives some useful tips.He completely involves himself in the process of filming to make sure that each scene is justified with necessary requirements and each time he appreciates, when the shot/scene (output) really comes out well.Source : Kumudham
Silambarasan's latest fan in the film industry is Deeksha Seth. The actress says that she is a huge Silambarasan fan and does not miss seeing his films. It was Deeksha’s desire to share the screen space with the star at least once and her dream has come true now.Deeksha, who was seen in the Vikram starrer Rajapattai, will be paired opposite Silambarasan in Vettai Mannan. Though Hansika plays an important role in this film, it is Deeksha who is paired opposite the star. Well, that’s surely the reward for being the star’s fan!source : BehindwoodsDeeksha Seth : working with a talented person like Simbu is a great oppurtunity to learn for me and as a fan it is an excitement

According to Gemini Films, Poda Podi is Simbu's most expensive project and, hopefully, his best. The film travels through three phases of a boy and girl's life. Poda Podi is being entirely shot in London, capturing two different seasons, and some hitherto unexplored regions in the country. While Simbu reportedly carries the film on his shoulders, no less credit is given to the performance of Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in her debut role. Being veteran actor Sarathkumar's daughter, acting seems to be in Varu's (as she is known) genes.A theatrical production which she co-produced and acted in, “Mamma Mia” has honed her acting and dancing skills. Dancer-actor Shobana plays a dance school owner with dancer-choreographer Jeffery Vardon playing the dance instructor with a villainous streak.Fittingly, music director Dharan has composed some mind-blowing songs for Poda Podi.source : The Hindu News Paper(5-2-2012)
