Podaa Podi Audio From Tomorrow
on Oct 10th and viewers can grab your copies from tomorrow morning in the store.Dharan has composed seven tracks and a theme song for Podaa Podi, out of which ‘Love Panalama’ song was already released in Surya FM on Sep 6th and topping the charts. Reputed playback singers namely Shankar Mahadevan, Benny Dayal, Andrea Jeremiah, Naresh Iyer, Simbu, Suchitra, Dharan, Amal Raj, Sindhu, Pradeep and Moonisha have given their vocals for the songs in Podaa Podi for the lyrics penned by Silambarasan, Viveka et al.Podaa Podi is the launch pad of Varalakshmi Sarathkumar that was been under shooting for almost 2 years. Debutant Vignesh Sivaa has wielded megaphone for this Podaa Podi donned by Simbu, which also casts Smarth, nephew of STR as his son in the movie. Gemini Film Circuit producing Podaa Podi is gearing up to hit the screens for this Diwali.
STR, Selva,Yuvan to work together
The trio might team up for a project next year
Here’s a new actor-director combination that’s set to rock Kollywood next year. We hear that Simbu will team up with none other than Selvaraghavan, actor Dhanush’s brother, on a project soon. What’s more, it looks like the music for this film will mark the return of the Yuvan Shankar Raja-Selva combination.
A source says, “The two (Selva and Simbu) met up recently and discussed the proposition. Both of them are interested in working together and the fact that Yuvan, who has worked extensively with Simbu, wanted to get back again with Selva made the idea more exciting.”
Selvaraghavan, who is currently busy with Irandaam Ulagam starring Arya and Anushka, is working on a love story for the Simbu project. A source says, “It will have a lot of musical elements. Yuvan has composed some of his best tunes for Selva in films like Kadhal Kondein and 7G Rainbow Colony.” After their initial films, the filmmaker opted to work with composers like G V Prakash and Harris Jayaraj. There is a lot of expectations from this ‘comeback’ film.
When Chennai Times contacted Simbu about this development, all he was willing to say was, “It’s too early to talk about this project.”

STR’s Podaa Podi audio launch on Oct 10
Simbu starrer Podaa Podi is the long waited movie being directed by debutant Vignesh Shivaa that has just entered the Diwali race, to have a grand release in November. Latest on Podaa Podi is, makers have confirmed the audio launch date as Oct 10th.
Music director Dharan is gearing up for the stunning event to be organized by Sony Music, who has grabbed the audio rights of Podaa Podi for a whooping cost. Fans of STR must be happy with this news and eager to listen the tracks of highly anticipated album, as earlier released single 'Love Panlaama' is already rocking.
Produced by Padam kumar on Gemini Films Circuit banner Podaa Podi is the debutant venture of Varalakshmi Sarathkumar and Simbu’s nephew Smarth, which was been under shoots for past 2 years. Duncan Telford has cranked the camera and Anthony Gonslaves is handling the editing department among the technical crew of Podaa Podi.

widely publicized as being a Diwali release at the time of its teaser release itself. But, now Vaalu might be pushed to Pongal as work is still pending on that film.Podaa Podi recently had a single track released named "Love Panalamaa Venaama" which has received the thumbs-up from STR fans for being a hep and happening number. This long in the making movie is finally nearing the finish line and the audio launch would happen anytime in October. Dharan has composed the music for this dance based movie which also happens to be Varalakshmi Sarathkumar's debut as a lead actress.
STR's previous Diwali release was Vallavan way back in 2006 and the star is happy that he would be having a Diwali release after a long time. Now, it is going to be a royal clash between STR and Vijay as the latter's Thuppakki is also confirmed to hit the screens for the festival of lights.
