Stars hail Superstar

Not just fans, celebrities too are going gaga over Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Endhiran', which witnessed the biggest ever opening of Tamil cinema today, by simultaneously hitting more than 2,000 screens globally.
Silambarasan, who brands himself as the 'Young Superstar', watched 'Endhiran' at a Chennai theatre this morning. "I never missed Rajini's film. ‘Endhiran’ is awesome, stunning", he said.
Siddarth, another young actor, wrote on his microblogging page: "Congratulations to Rajini sir and Shankar & team for pulling off a commercial miracle. Big films that deliver make the world go round! Cheers!".
Rana Daggubatti, one of the hot and happening actors of Telugu cinema and grandson of ace producer D Ramanaidu tweeted: "Superstar Rajinikanth!! I salute you!! Never before and never after!!"
Meanwhile, sources have it that Shankar, the captain of 'Endhiran' ship, watched his magnum opus in the morning show at a popular cinema hall in Chennai. Happy with the audience's response, he said the film got good reviews

I am ready to act with Dhanush: Simbu

"Multi-starrers are the order of the day in Tamil cinema. In ‘Vaanam’, I am sharing the screen space with Bharath. In future, I don't mind acting with other heroes including Dhanush", said Silambarasan.
Talking to journalists in Chennai Tuesday, the actor said, "Shooting for ‘Vaanam’ is almost complete. The film is a real multi-starrer. Besides me, it stars Bharath, Anushka, Vega, Prakash Raj and Sonia Agarwal'.
A remake of recent Telugu hit 'Vedam', 'Vaanam' is helmed by Krish, who had directed the original too. "It is no easy task to do a remake. One has to get the details right and make changes to suit Tamil audience. ‘Vaanam’ has everything in it to woo Tamil masses", said the actor, who prefers to go by the name STR.
Produced by Ganesh for VTV Pictures, 'Vaanam' has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Heaping laurels on his co-star Anushka, Silambarasan said, "I am a great fan of Anushka. I was impressed watching her performance in ‘Arundhathee’. To share the screen with her is a delight".

‘Vaanam’ audio not launched

The big event which is supposed to have happened today in London has not happened. The audio
launch of ‘Vaanam’ was touted to be a mega event with the entire cast walking the red carpet
on that day.

Anushka, Bharath, Vega and Sonia Agarwal along with Yuvan Shankar Raja, director Krish were
expected to fly to London. Silambarasan is already in London shooting for ‘Podaa Podi. To
hike the star value of the event Trisha was also to join them.

Now the sudden cancellation of the event has disappointed the fans of Silambarasan and
others in London. The reason for the cancellation of the event is said to be some visa
problems. Sources say some members of the party were denied visas by the British High
Commission in Chennai.

They are working out to solve the problem. The planning team is working out another date
which will be suitable for all of them.

But another source says that the reason for the postponement of the audio launch is not
visas but Trisha. According to them Trisha is busy with the final patch work shoots for
‘Manmadhan Ambu’ and will be free only after October 20. Apparently she requested
Silambarasan to postpone the date of audio launch so that she could be there. Like a good
friend in need Silambarasan did the deed.

Silambarasan’s ambitious film ‘Podaa Podi’ is nearing completion. Music Director Dharan,
Silambarasan and Director Viki are currently in London working on the last song of the film.
They are planning to get UK singers to record it.

‘Podaa Podi’ is a romantic musical and so all of them are striving to get the best music.
The film has six songs in all, out of which five are ready.

Silambarasan has sung two thematic songs and Yuvan has sung one. The all important title
track has been rendered by Andrea and Benny Dayal. Apart from six regular numbers, ‘Podaa
Podi’ also has four incredible theme tracks that will vouch for the talent of Dharan.

‘Podaa Podi’ is going to be a beak through album for the young music director Dharan. He
made an impressive debut in ‘Parijatham’ and continued the great work in ‘Sivi’. But the
success of these films at the box office affected the good run of Dharan.

But Dharan is sure that he has a perfect film in ‘Podaa Podi’. He says the script was quite
demanding and the music is experimental and new.

The Silambarasan-Varalaxmi starrer is almost complete and will wind up in a couple of weeks.
