This film was released in the year 2010 with high expectations and ofcourse it satisfied each and every person who watched the film. VTV created a craze among youngSTeRs who admitted that the film was very similar to their real life. This is the movie which changed the image of STR(karthik) and became the biggest hit in his career. The presence of THRISHA(jessie) made the movie more special and this was a movie in which she got a chance to execute the best acting skills. The music for the film was scored by A.R REHMAN and the entire album was a huge hit. Director GAUTHAM VASUDEV MENON was praised for his brilliant direction. Podaa Podi Teaser along with Osthe.
This December 8th plans are to release Podaa Podi Teaser along with Osthe. 
STR is back after a break in Macau
After completing Osthi shoot, Silambarasan took a one week break in his favourite holiday destination, Macau. Now the star is back in Chennai shooting his introductory song for Poda Podi at AVM studio for which he sports a nerd look (see pic) among various other get-up's.
Quiz him about his break and STR smiles and says : “ I needed this well-deserved break after the hectic climax shoot of Osthi. It was not a planned holiday but I just decided to take off with my friend Jai and Nelson, the director of Vettai Mannan to Bangkok and Macau. I was also lucky to attend the Macau Grand Prix, a motor-racing event held annually in Macau”
Macau, as everyone knows is very special to STR as it became a sort of lucky destination for the actor. After shooting for Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya, the actor took a break at his lucky holiday destination.STR is now eagerly looking forward for the release of his Osthi which will hit the
screens on December 8. The film which has got a clean U certificate is said to be a rollicking entertainer.
